Apple, Avocado, and Cucumber Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 cucumber

2 celery stalks

2 c. baby spinach

3 apples

1 c. ice

1 avocado {optional}

1 T. flaxseed {optional}

Method:

Juice the cucumber, celery, spinach and apples in a juicer.  Stir to combine.  This juice is a tummy-tamer.  It is calming and refreshing and it’ll give your digestive system and body a welcome break from all the work it does trying to process heavier meals.

Alternative method:

Transfer prepared juice to a blender and add one avocado.  Blend until smooth.  Pour into glasses, stir in flaxseed.  The avocado and flaxseed help to make this smoothie a little more substantial and it’ll help create a longer feeling of satiety.
